The Power Transfer Ratio (PTR) is a measure that assesses the efficiency of energy transfer from the clubhead to the ball at impact. The correct formula for calculating this ratio is the ball speed divided by the clubhead speed. This relationship is fundamental in understanding how effectively the kinetic energy from the golf club is transferred to the golf ball.

When you consider this ratio, you are essentially evaluating how much of the clubhead's speed is converted into the speed of the ball once it leaves the clubface. A higher PTR indicates that a greater percentage of the energy from the clubhead is being effectively transferred to the ball, which usually correlates with better distance and performance on the course.

The other options focus on different aspects of impact and performance but do not represent the calculation of PTR. For instance, clubhead speed divided by ball speed would yield an inverted measure that does not accurately reflect the efficiency of the energy transfer. Launch angle and ball spin are important metrics in determining the ball's trajectory and behavior after impact, but they do not directly pertain to the PTR measure itself. Similarly, while the SMASH Factor is related to power transfer, it is not used to calculate PTR in the form provided in the choices. Thus, ball speed over club
